What is The Shift?

The Shift is a hormone-aware lifestyle program designed to support women 35+ through the physical and emotional changes of midlife.

Midlife isn’t about fixing what’s broken or starting over.

It’s about learning how to work with your body now — and stepping into this next chapter feeling strong, steady, and clear.

Grounded in the belief that Stronger Later Starts Now, The Shift focuses on the everyday choices that matter most in midlife — nourishment, movement, recovery, and stress support — woven together in a way that fits real life.

The result is a supportive balance of structure and flexibility, so you can build strength, stability, and confidence — without constantly second-guessing yourself.

How do I access the program?

The Shift is a digital program, which means you can get started right away.

Once you enroll, you’ll create a private account where you’ll have access to all program materials, resources, and the community.

There are two ways to experience The Shift, depending on the level of support you’re looking for:

Digital Access

-Start immediately and move through the program at your own pace.
-Includes full access to all lessons, tools, and the community for connection & support.

Digital + Live Coaching

-Includes everything in Digital, plus live coaching for deeper guidance, accountability, and real-time support.

-Course access opens May 3, and our first live coaching call takes place May 7.
-Live sessions are Thursdays at 12pm ET and are recorded & available for replay.

How much time will this take each week?

The Shift is designed to fit into real life — not take it over.

Most women spend about 1–2 hours per week engaging with the content and applying what they’re learning. Some weeks may feel lighter, others more reflective — it all depends on where you are.

If you join the live coaching version, we’ll move through the program together in a guided rhythm.

If you choose the digital version, you’re free to move at your own pace.

While The Shift is structured as a six-week experience, many women move faster and others take their time. The goal isn’t speed. It’s integration, consistency, and lasting change.

Why I Created The shift

Meet Jen

Hi, I’m Jen Mullen — certified health coach, menopause specialist, mom of three, and founder of The Simply Living Way.

I work with women who look like they’re holding it all together, but inside feel exhausted, off, or disconnected from their bodies. What worked in your 20s and 30s doesn’t work the same way anymore. And that’s not a failure — it’s a shift.

The Shift began with me.
Even while “doing everything right,” I felt bloated, burned out, and stuck. Instead of pushing harder, I started listening more closely to what my body was actually asking for — and everything changed.

Then came the deeper catalyst: my mom. Watching her navigate serious health challenges made me wonder what might have been different with better support earlier. That question now shapes everything I teach.

The Shift isn’t about fixing your body or chasing quick results. It’s about learning how to work with your body — so you can feel strong, steady, and confident for decades to come.

What if I can’t make the live coaching calls?

No worries at all.


If you choose the
Live + Digital option, all coaching calls are recorded and uploaded to your private portal so you can watch (or rewatch) whenever it works for you.

You’ll still receive the guidance and teaching, even if you can’t attend live — and you can submit questions in advance if you’d like them addressed on the call.

If you choose the Digital option, you’ll move through The Shift entirely on your own schedule, with full access to the lessons, tools, and community.

I’m not very tech-savvy. Will I be able to access everything?

Yes. The Shift is designed to be simple and easy to use.

Once you purchase, you’ll create an account and get immediate access to your private portal. Everything — videos, resources, and community — is organized clearly so you can move through it without stress.

And if you ever need help, support is available.

How much time will this take each week?

The Digital option is completely self-paced. Most women spend about 1–1.5 hours per week watching lessons and applying what they learn — but you can move faster or slower depending on your schedule.

The Live + Digital option follows the same content, with the added support of live coaching. You can move through the program week by week, or revisit lessons as needed. Live calls are on Thursdays at 12pm ET

Which option is right for me — Digital or Live?

Choose Digital if you want maximum flexibility and prefer to move through the program on your own time.

Choose Live + Digital if you want more structure, accountability, and real-time coaching support.

Both options include the full Shift experience — it’s simply about the level of support that feels right for you right now.

Is there any 1:1 support available?

Yes — for women who want a little more personalized guidance, there’s an optional 1:1 coaching add-on available.

You can choose to purchase a 2-session private coaching package to use during your time in The Shift. These sessions are designed to help you personalize what you’re learning, work through specific challenges, and feel supported where you need it most.

This is completely optional and offered in limited availability.

Who are the live expert calls with, and what can I expect?

You’ll have access to 30–45 minute expert-led calls with clinicians and specialists aligned with the core shifts inside the program.

This round includes a collaboration with Well by Messer, a wellness practice with locations in CT and NYC focused on integrative, personalized care. You’ll hear directly from members of their team, along with additional expert voices, to help connect the clinical perspective with the lifestyle work we’re building inside the program.
